Rita Louise Hanson's Obituary
Rita Louise Hanson was born December 17, 1942 in Staples, Minnesota. She was the oldest daughter of the late Arvid and Marie Nelson. God saw she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around her, and whispered, “Come to Me” on May 5, 2017. Rita is preceded in death by her husband, Bennett. She is survived by her sister Bobbi Hantge (Donald); Son, Steven (Cindy); Daughters, Stacy Woodruff (Roger) and Becky Freeman (Justin); grandchildren, Nathaniel, Jeremy, Ashley, Grace, Megan and Austin; and her beloved companion dog “Little Bitts”. She touched the lives of so many people. She loved art whether it was painting a mural, an oil painting, making jewlery, decorating, floral arrangements, etc. What she loved most was spending time with her family, friends and her dog Little Bitts. Rita was very grateful towards the many dedicated family members, friends, and caregivers who visited, comforted, and cared for her over the years. The funeral service for Rita will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 12, 2017, at First United Methodist Church, 503 N. Central Expressway, Richardson, Texas.
