Rita Lawrence's Obituary
Rita Lawrence departed this earth to join the Lord, Sept. 25 at the age of 92. A member of The Greatest Generation, she was born in Albuquerque, the youngest of four children to Charles Guillermo Garcia and Ramona Maria Luna. Rita attended Saint Vincent Academy, a Catholic Boarding School and Day School for girls where she made many life-long friends.
Her interesting career included working for several U.S. Senators, a Tennessee Secretary of State, as well as the FBI. Later in life, she worked for a respected oil and gas magnate in Dallas.
She was mostly known as Mom to her four children, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Aunt, Dog-mom, Cub Scout leader, and friend to many.
Fluent in Spanish and French, her many interests included French classes, reading good books, dachshunds, European travels, world events, following political leaders, and always a good glass of wine! She was always interested in her kids near and far and all of her extended family.
She leaves behind a large legacy of family,--four children, David Kile (Anne), Diana Kile Bolin, Doug Kile (Jessica), Denise Kile Lyman (Pete). Stepson David Lawrence (Babs), beloved Grandchildren James Kile, Lindsay Kile Matuson and Danielle Kaye Bolin, Great-grandchildren, countless nephews-(the Baca Boys!), nieces, and their children.
Her private family service/Inurnment will place her next to her beloved Russell E. Lawrence (deceased Dec. 3, 2011).
Rest in Peace and Au revoir. You are with the Lord now.
