Rita Lorraine Noah's Obituary
Rita Lorraine Dotson Ganz Noah was born to Cecil Pitts Dotson and Doris Babette Ney Dotson December 28, 1948 on her father’s 25th birthday. Rita was taken from this world to a better place on March 3, 2017 after battling cancer for years. Gone is her suffering and now she can find joy and peace. Rita’s great loves truly were travel, fine food with wine and her cats. She was a great proponent of no-kill shelters and cat rescues and over the years fostered many cats before placement. Rita’s schooling took place at Highland Park with a three year stint in Europe as a pre-teen and young teenager. She also attended Texas Tech University where she met her first husband, Charlie Ganz. She later on in life gained her nursing tech certification after a successful career in Real Estate at Re/Max. she also worked at TI and met her second husband Bob Noah, and moved to Italy for a couple of years with him there. Her love of travel and furthering her education was something developed by her father Cecil Dotson who took his family on trips every chance we could and discussing and helping out with our education always. Rita had battles with depression and anxiety that had a way of marring her careers over the years. Cancer ultimately was the thing that brought her down, bringing to an end her infectious laughter that could be heard across a room at a party. God, take her to you and soothe her worried brow, slake her thirst for approval and needs that never seemed to be met, and most of all, take her pain away, both her psychic and physical pain that she lived with for so long. She was a gentle artistic soul that was betrayed by life. Rita was predeceased by her parents but she leaves behind her brother Glenn Laurence Dotson and his children Amanda Medaris and Kimberly Dotson and her sister Sugie Dotson Poteet and her children Robin Cline, Alison Cline and Christina Cline. Service will be held on March 11, 2017, at 12:30 PM at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
