Rita Jeanelle Sims' Obituary
Jeanelle was born January 26, 1930, born again on February 7, 1977, and went home with Jesus on
September 8, 2021.
She was born in Clarendon, Texas to Theresa Vineyard Lowe and Jesse Haynes Lowe. She
welcomed her sister, Joyce, in the same town, same house, same bed in 1934 and her brother,
Jimmy, In Nederland, Texas in 1939.
During the WWII years, the family traveled with Jesse to many cities and states as he helped build
U.S. Naval bases. In 1946, the family settled in the Texas Panhandle where the children attended
school in Wellington and Childress.
Jeanelle and Harold Anderson married in Childress and welcomed three adorable children: Jerry,
Ronnie and Anita. The family later moved to Dallas where they made their home.
In 1968, Jeanelle and James were married and have loved each other for 53 years before the Lord
called her home.
In 2010, her brother Jimmy went to heaven and was joined by her son Ronnie in 2015. joined him
there. She was ready to see her son Ronnie and the rest of her family waiting to greet her in heaven.
We will miss her terribly but rejoice in the glory of her homecoming. Above all else, Jeanelle loved her
family dearly and wanted each of them to know Jesus Christ. Her love and our love are offered to all
who read this.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband and the love of her life James Sims. Children:
Jerry and Susie Anderson, Anita and Jim English, Sherri Sims, Deb Anderson, her sister, Joyce
Sherrod, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
