Rito Anthony Mungioli's Obituary
Anthony, 51, was born on May 19, 1957 and died Sept. 29, 2008 as a result of a tragic bicycle accident. Beloved husband, father, son, uncle, brother, and friend. He was preceded in death by his father, Armando. He is survived by his wife, Karen; his sons, Anthony and John; his mother, Rosaria; his brothers, Luigi and his wife Rae Gene, Richard and his wife Emilie, and Gerald and his wife Colleen; sisters, Antonia and husband Harry Russell, and Alba and her husband Brian Pickering; mother-in-law, Julie Baldera; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Robin Baldera; and sister-in-law Celeste Coulter. Also many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Anthony was a graduate of Richardson High School and Southern Methodist University where he was an All-American and went on to play one season professionally for the Houston Summit. He was a member of the Italian Club of Dallas, and All Saints Catholic Church. He also impacted many friends through his involvement in the soccer community. Some of his achievements include: coaching his over 30 mens team to 4 regional championships and two national titles; coaching his amateur team to a regional and national championship; and being recognized as the winningest coach in North Texas history. Visitation will be at 6PM Thursday October 2, 2008 at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dr, Dallas, TX 75248; with Rosary at 7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM Friday October 3, 2008 at All Saints Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cristo Rei Jesuit High School in Houston.
