Robbie Jo (Fairchild) McCarty's Obituary
Our beloved Robbie Jo Fairchild McCarty, age 88, passed away on September 28, 2017. She was born in Clarksville, Texas on September 27, 1929 to Thomas and Stella Winters, and was the youngest of six siblings, all of whom preceded her in death. A graduate of the Massey Business College, Houston, Texas, she spent many years as a real estate broker with Paula Springer Associates, Dallas, Texas. Jo enjoyed active membership in numerous community organizations, including Who’s Who of Dallas, Knife and Fork, 200 Club, Dallas Investments, and Trippers Dance Club. She was loving a mother, genuine friend, amazing seamstress, and consummate homemaker and hostess. She enjoyed travel and ballroom dancing, demonstrating elegance and accurate styling. She was a member of Pathways Bible Class at Park Cities Baptist Church. Survived by her loving children, Bill Sturgis, Houston, Texas and Sherry Fairchild, Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Kristie Pinion (Dan), Matt Sturgis (Heather), Courtney Bouse (Brian); great-grandchildren, Chase Pinion, Makynlie Sturgis, Brycen Bouse, Charlotte Bouse; nieces, Tammy Jones, Christol Polson, and London Polson; nephews, Casey Jones and Lukan Polson, and a host of friends.The family would like to express their appreciation to all of the life-long friends, the staff at Safe Oak Assisted Living, and the Grannie Nannies for their loving care during the past two years.Visitation will be held at Restland Funeral, from 3-5pm on Sunday, October 1st. The funeral will be held at the Wildwood Chapel at 3:00pm on Monday, October 2, 2017, burial to follow at Restland Memorial Park, Court of Hope.
