Daddy, Brother, Papa, Uncle, Friend, Marine, and a Man of Love
Robert Terry Allen, a devoted daddy, cherished Papa, beloved brother, uncle, friend, and proud Marine, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends—one that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A man of strength and integrity, Robert served his country with honor as a United States Marine. His courage and dedication were matched only by his deep love for his family, whom he cherished above all else. He is survived by his beloved daughter and best friend, Racheal Allen, and his granddaughter, Macie Munoz; his son, Robert Jason Allen, whom he loved dearly, along with his grandchildren, Payton, Ben, and Josh Allen. His sister, Diane, and brother-in-law, David Brasher, hold his memory close, as do his adored nephews and nieces: Greg Morris, Craig Morris, Michael Brasher, Kristie Keatts, Amy Arzola, and Haley Brasher. His great-nieces and nephews will always remember his warmth and humor, as will his dedicated caregivers, Inga and Kendra, and his cherished friend, Charles. Robert shared 30 years of marriage with Cheryl, Racheal’s mother, who remained a special part of his life.
He was welcomed into eternity by those who passed before him: his father, George Allen; his mother, Dorothy Drennan; his second father, Marvin Drennan; and his sister, Darlene McCallum, whose absence he felt deeply every day.
Robert found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A lover of sports, especially baseball, he could often be found cheering for his favorite teams. His passion for history made him a walking encyclopedia, always eager to share a fascinating fact—or a playful historical “truth” that kept his family on their toes, only to reveal the joke with a twinkle in his eye and a warm smile. His kindness, humor, and genuine love for life left an imprint on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of Robert’s life will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Restland Funeral Home, with graveside services to follow.
Family visitation will take place on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, with an additional visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Robert Terry Allen was a truly remarkable man, and though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who loved him.
