Robert L. Ball's Obituary
Robert L. Ball, age 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, and went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Robert was born on March 18, 1957, in Henderson, North Carolina. He was a beloved son, husband, brother, and friend whose presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him. Blessed with a sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, Robert had a way of making others smile, even in life’s most challenging moments.
He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1975. He graduated with his associate’s degree from East Texas State University before transferring to Stephen F. Austin University, where he worked towards completing his bachelor’s degree in Geology. His passion for learning and dedication to his field reflected his thoughtful and inquisitive nature.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert N. Ball; his mother, Joyce Ball; and his beloved wife, Lucille Giddens Ball.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, David L. Ball (wife, Amanda), Jeffrey L. Ball (wife, Petra), and Norman L. Ball (wife, Heidi); his sister, Donna L. Brake (husband, Bob); his stepdaughter, Cyndajean Lucille Simmons; and his granddaughters, Michaela and Maddie Simmons. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Robert’s legacy of faith, humor, and love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.
