Robert Carl Bauer's Obituary
BAUER, ROBERT CARL passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on March 6, 2014. He was born in Columbus, Ohio on July 16, 1934. He served as a Sergeant in the Army before meeting the love of his life, Catherine Joan. They were married for 53 years and raised three children. He worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Ohio before relocating to Richardson, Texas in 1973 to work for Howmet Aluminum and Vistawall before retiring in 2001. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert F. Bauer and Helen Hoffman Bauer. Among those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Catherine Joan Warman Bauer; his son, Michael and wife, Lisa; daughter, Bunny and husband, Steve; son, Brad; grandkids, Aaron and wife, Beverly, Jennifer and husband, Mike, Ashley and husband, Zach, Chris, Kristen, Beth, Adam and great-grandkids, Ashlyn, Abby, Austin, Peyton, Jaylyn, Brayden, Emerie and Noah, and sister, Carolyn and husband, Ken. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave, Dallas, Texas 75243. Services will be Sunday, March 9, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the Wildwood Chapel at Restland. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project, the American Cancer Society or Hospice.
