Robert Cleve Beal 's Obituary
Robert Cleve Beal was born in Flushing, NY on April 13, 1963 to Robert H. and Shirley C. Beal. He left this earth for his Eternal Home with his Savior on Monday, March 16, 2020 in Rowlett, TX where he resided with his loving wife, Cheryl Hawkins Beal. Their love story lasted a mere 15 years, which was not nearly long enough.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his two beautiful daughters, of whom he was infinitely proud, Ashley and Katie (Stratton), his beloved stepdaughter, Jensen Armstrong, his sweet mother-in-law, Doris Hawkins, brother-in-law, Mike (Vicki), nieces Nicole and Katelyn, several aunts, uncles, and cousins, and a host of wonderful friends. He is predeceased by his parents and his father-in-law, Harold Hawkins.
Robert grew up in Hacienda Heights, CA, where he graduated from high school in 1981. He earned his undergraduate degree from Pepperdine University, and then later returned for law school where he graduated second in his class. After a successful career at some large firms in the DFW area, Robert was a practicing trial attorney and manager at the U.S. Department of Labor at the time of his passing.
A Christ follower with a true servant’s heart, Robert loved being involved in ministries and in his life group at Lakepointe Church in Rockwall, Texas. He also enjoyed working with a local Gideons group. He and Cheryl had a heart for the wonderful people of Jos, Nigeria, and had plans to return there this fall. Additionally, Robert enjoyed international travel, water sports, outdoor activities, and being a home brewer and winemaker. He adored his “puppy kids,” Todd and Miko.
A private family burial will be held on Friday, March 20, 2020 in Dallas, TX. A memorial service will take place at a later date. In accordance with Robert’s wishes, donations may be made to The Hope and Freedom Center of Jos, Nigeria.
