Robert Ray Bell's Obituary
BELL, ROBERT RAY age 86, passed away on March 25, 2014 in Dallas, TX. Ray was born on September 24, 1927 in Crowell, TX to Ralph and Annice Bell. He was the eldest of 2 children, and is preceded in death by his brother, Jim Bell. Ray was married to Mildred Rainey on November 5, 1950 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Denton. Ray and Mildred met while both attending college at the University of North Texas, and Ray later completed his degree in Business at Midwestern University. He later went to SMU in Dallas to study accounting and became a CPA. Ray did some of his own practice with accounting, but his longest employment was with Marine Petroleum and he was associated with this company until his death. Ray is preceded in death by his son, Brad and his beloved wife of 63 years, Mildred. Ray and Mildred were valued members of their church for over 50 years, Bentwood Trail Presbyterian. Ray is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Gus Benavidez; and his grandchildren, Erin and Brandon Camp, Tara, Paul, and Angie Benavidez. Ray has been described by his family as the pillar of strength who exuded a warm, loving and generous spirit. He was truly the heart of the family. He will be greatly missed by all of his family, business associates, and many, many friends. A memorial service will be held at Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church, 6000 Bentwood Trail, Dallas, TX 75252, on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 3:30PM. If donations are preferred as a gift, memorials may be made to Bentwood Trail Presbyterian Church.
