Robert "Todd" Blackmon's Obituary
Born in Dallas, Texas on April 6, 1968 Passed Away in Garland, Texas on August 22, 2015 He was a devoted son, brother, nephew and cousin. Todd was the oldest of two children. He was a graduate of North Garland High School. He was very involved in his community and church life. He was actively involved in the Garland Amateur Radio Club and the Morning Maniacs Car Club. He was baptized in high school at Jupiter Road Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. For the past couple of years, he attended Lovers Lane Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas. Todd loved NASCAR, the Texas Rangers, the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Mavericks and anything related to sports. His love of sports started at a young age when he was a patient of Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children and had the opportunity to meet many professional players. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Woodrow W. and Myrtice D. Brownlee, Culbert T. and Maurene Blackmon; his mother Elizabeth Ann Brownlee Blackmon. He is survived by his father, Bobby Blackmon and Step-mother Linda Blackmon; Sister Lisa Blackmon Pool; nephew Taylor Pool, niece Natalie Pool; His uncles and aunts Woodrow O. Brownlee and wife Linda R. Brownlee; Robert Dean Brownlee and partner Dr. William Jordan; James W. Brownlee and wife Kathy Brownlee, and Jerry Snow and wife Ruby Jo Snow; his cousins Bo Brownlee and wife Sherry Brownlee; Shelley Brownlee, Malinda Brownlee Howell and husband Keith Howell; Jeff Brownlee and wife Carissa Brownlee; Amy Brownlee, Kevin Brownlee and Amber Camel and many beloved second cousins. Services will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 3:00 p.m. at Restland in the Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
