Mr. Robert "Bob" Walter Hanko's Obituary
Bob was Born in Wurzburg, Germany to Walter Robert and Elisabeth Hanko. His dad was in the military so they moved around until they settled in Columbus, Ohio when Bob was in elementary school. He graduated from Reynoldsburg High School and attended Ohio Sate University until he enlisted in the Air Force. Bob served for 3 years during the Vietnam ERA.
He was preceded in death by his father and leaves behind in life, his mother and 2 sisters, as well as his wife Pamela Hanko, his daughter Lorna Hanko and his 2 step-daughters, Teresa Guthrie and Cindy Butler. Teresa gave Bob and Pam 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Cindy gave them 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Bob's family would like to leave special thanks to his doctors and all medical personnel who cared for him at the VA Hospital in Dallas. They fought valiantly for his life with love and excellent care.
Bob was raised in the Catholic Faith until later in life when he gave his life to Jesus in the Baptist Faith. He knew whom he believed and was totally sure of God's acceptance of him into eternity through the sacrifice of Jesus.
