Robert Allan Boedecker's Obituary
Robert Allan Boedeker, lovingly referred to as “Bo” Boedeker age 67 passed away on December 11th, 2019 at his home in Richardson, TX.Bo is preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Virginia Boedeker and his brother Fred Boedeker.Bo is survived by the love of his life, best friend and partner of 44 years, Genie Bell. He is also survived and lovingly remembered by his daughter Bonny Boedeker, son Robert Boedeker Jr., brother Donald Boedeker, sisters Janet Norwood and Beth Gamble, along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.He was born in Mount Prospect, Illinois on July 21, 1952 where he lived for 11 years until his family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1963. He attended St. Monica Catholic school and then Jesuit, eventually leaving to travel across the country driving the tour bus for several rock & roll bands. He returned to Dallas where he earned his GED and then in 1980 married Genie and they had two beautiful children together. He worked as a photographer for many years and then became a skilled carpenter and painter by trade.Bo was a free spirit. He enjoyed life, living it to the fullest and doing it his way until the very end. His greatest accomplishments were his children Bonny and Robert, whom he loved unconditionally. His interests included nature, music, photography, movies, history, listening to NPR and the weekly crossword puzzles. He believed in the power of family and proudly loved his immediate and extended family immensely. Family was the most important thing to Bo, and we will all miss him very much.The family will be having a private celebration of life in his honor to reminisce on the love and joy Bo imparted them.
