Robert Boggs' Obituary
On Friday evening, November 17, 2017, Robert Boggs made his final transition at Faith Presbyterian Hospice Center, in Dallas, TX. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Jeremy Wanamaker, two grandsons Seth and Beckett Wanamaker, and all extended Wanamakers, who considered him family. He is also survived by his cousins Ron and Sally Chapman and family, Linda and George Yates and family, Len Cargill, Beverly Jean and Curtis Reynolds, Sylvia Canon, David Worthington and Cheryl Wells, as well as all their children, and childrens’ children.Robert and his wife were well- known wherever they went for their theatrical and musical talent, and for memorable cozy evenings with friends and family.Travel and exploration were integral parts of Robert’s life, and he and Mary would spend most of their last 15-20 years together taking an annual summer trip to New Mexico, where they enjoyed a tradition of attending the Santa Fe Opera. He loved his Opera, as well as all of his music, which he collected over many many years. His and Mary’s love for music was passed on to their daughter Jennifer, and subsequently to their grandchildren.Robert will be greatly missed, and remembered as a gregarious, charismatic, and generous soul, who was devoted to his family above all else.Robert’s Memorial Celebration will be held this Saturday, November 25th at 2:30pm in the Chapel at Faith Presbyterian Hospice, located at 12477 Merit Drive, Dallas, 75251. Any flowers may be delivered there, attn: Robert Boggs, or Jen Wanamaker.There will be a short graveside service at 1:30pm, at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas 75243, for all who would like to join.If you would like to do something other than flowers to honor Robert’s memory, he was a supporter and patron of the St. Clouds Dog Rescue, https://www.facebook.com/www.stcloudsrescue.org/ where he adopted the last two of his four rescue doggies over the 15 years.
