Mr. Robert Earl Bragg's Obituary
Our Risen Savior, Jesus, called Robert E. Bragg to Himself, to stand with all the saints who went before him in faith to sing His eternal praises. Robert was born in Omaha, Nebraska, January 27, 1930 and passed from this life, May 7, 2024.
For 94 years, Robert, known as Bob, lived a wonderful life, and brought joy to everyone he met. And he certainly never met a stranger. Bob was always patriotic from when he was in the ROTC at The University of Kansas to when he served his country in the Air Force. He retired from Active Reserves in 1990 as Lieutenant Colonel.
Bob was passionate about good care for all pets and therefore asked that donations in his memory be sent to animal rescue (Humane Society). Bob was an avid art collector, and enjoyed sports including tennis, biking and snow skiing. He was fond of travel, culinary arts, and wine collection. (He always showed up at a party with a great bottle of "vino" and an even better story about it.) Bob will be truly missed.
He was preceded in death by parents, Earl F. Bragg and Flodell C. Higgins, brother William N. Bragg, and the love of his life, wife Dorothy O. Shelby. Survivors include step-grandsons, Brook, Clay and Shelby Scott, second cousins, Julia Higgins, Joy LaForce, Sue Kinyon, Sara Kennedy, third cousin, Lisa Clark and fourth cousin, Ethan Clark.
Donations for animal rescue in Robert's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Dallas County at https://dognkittycity.org/make-a-donation/
