Robert Frank Brandefine's Obituary
Robert Frank Brandefine, Sr, of Hemet, CA, died on Jan 30, 2020, at the age 89 in Garland, TX, where he relocated to in 2016. He was born on February 17, 1930, in Staten Island, NY the only child of Frank Brandefine and Pauline Asanio. He married Josephine Terenti on May 23, 1954, in New York, NY. After her death, he married Dottie Neuhauser on April 7, 1978, in Santa Ana, CA.
He was a Computer Programmer for IBM, Heyer Hardware, and the Chino Basin Water District, then he retired in 1995. He was an Elder in his church, and served as treasurer for the Lion’s Club.
He served in the US Army; he entered active service in January, 1951, as a Private and was discharged in January, 1954, as a Sgt. He worked as a crane shovel operator in Korea helping to build the US air strip in Pusan, Korea.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dottie Brandefine, son Robert Brandefine, Jr, daughter Gail Bayron, and son John Smyth. He had ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Josephine Brandefine, son Albert Smyth, and granddaughter Cortni Brandefine.
