Robert Koehler Brown's Obituary
BROWN, ROBERT KOEHLER born on January 12, 1922, passed away on December 30, 2012 at the age of 90. Born in Racine, Wisconsin to Robert Arthur and Marguerite Louise (Koehler) Brown. Bob was preceded in death by his daughter, Penny Edna Brown in 1953. He is survived by his wife of sixty nine years, Mary Elizabeth Brown; sons, Robert Thomas Brown and wife, Dena Rafte; David Koehler Brown and wife, Mary Kyle; grandson, Adam Koehler Brown; brother, Richard Koehler Brown and wife, Perie; sister, Dorothy Koehler Dugas. Bob attended Washington Park High School in Racine, Wisconsin, and graduated from Purdue University in 1947 with a degree in mechanical engineering. He enlisted in the US Navy, was sent to the Pacific, and served from 1943-1946 as a Lt. J.G. Upon graduation from Purdue, Bob moved to Dallas and took a position as an engineer with Lone Star Air Conditioning. He spent the balance of his career with City Wide Mechanical. Bob will be buried in a private ceremony on January 3, 2013 at Restland Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
