ROBERT DALE “BUCK” BUCKNER, 87, of Las Colinas, went peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on February 8, 2009. Born on January 9, 1922, in Satin, Texas to Lillie and Sheldon Buckner, he graduated from Breckenridge High School Read Obituary
Mr. Buckner is a true legend in the industry. He was a great and loyal friend to my dad and our family and now he is in heaven with his best friend and life partner Dixie. He is a happy man! Our prayers go out to the Buckner family for this tremendous man and your loss.

Buck had such positive influence on my life, I'll miss him.
My dear Uncle Buck was such a Samaritan with his nephews…if it were not for him & Aunt Dixie, some of us would have not had the "golden" opportunity to experience good christian discipline, as well as care & concern, in that same manner. I miss them. He & I became real good buddies the past year or two, and I never observed him discriminating against any walk of life. That is a cherishable blessing this day & time.
Uncle Dale was a very special person, whose joy for life, positive attitude, and eternal optimism was always uplifting.
Buck was a giant in the mechanical contracting industry and great to work with. Feliss and I had the pleasure of spending time with buck and Dixie at many MCA functions over many years. They were a most gracious couple. I only had one problem with Buck. Feliss said he was a better dancer than I was. I can forgive him for that because he was also better at everything else. Jim Bell

You were such a strong character in our lives growing up….I aspired to be like you and will alway hold you close in my heart. Buck was one of the "Greatest Men" in my life. A Man's Man with a concerning heart for others. He was never to busy to talk to you and willing to help in any way. Weddings, hospital visits and funerals were always attended by Buck. I have seen him visit friends in the hosptal when he was sicker than the one he was visiting but you would not have known it. He always made you feel important and comfortable anytime you were with him. Buck's wisdom and personal concern will truly be missed.
