Robert Leith Carruthers' Obituary
Carruthers, Robert Leith ~ Was born in Jensen, Florida on May 13, 1926 and passed away on February 14, 2011 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lawana Carruthers; sons, Robert Carruthers III and wife Judy, Michael Carruthers, Ben Carruthers; grandchildren, Kristen Thomas and husband Erik, Rachel Cereceres and husband Eric, Whitney Fraizer and husband Brad, Adam Carruthers and wife Randa, and David Carruthers; great grandchildren, Trinity Thomas and Carson Carruthers. Robert is also survived by his brother, Tom Carruthers and sister, Mary Ellen Abrams. Robert served in the navy during WWII. He worked as a flight engineer for American Airlines for 47 years. He was a member of the James A. Smith Masonic Lodge, the Love Field Chapter and Council and Hella Temple. He was a founding member of the Hella Mini Patrol. Robert will be greatly missed by the family that he loved so much. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Shrine Hospital. Thank you, The Carruthers Family
