Robert "Bob" Carter Boston's Obituary
BOSTON, Robert “Bob” Carter, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014. He was born on March 9, 1946 in Quanah, TX to his parents, Mr. Farwell Boston and Mrs. Damaris Boston. Bob was the second of 6 children. He was a current resident of Richardson, Texas where he resided for 34 years. Bob married Brenda Glenn in Dallas, Texas on July 2, 1977. He attended Louisiana Tech and graduated in 1968 with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. Bob was employed by Texas Instruments/Raytheon as an Engineer/Program Manager for 39 years. Bob enjoyed music, traveling, and photography, and he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Richardson. He is preceded in death by his father, Farwell Boston. Bob will be remembered by his loving wife and their children, Kimberly Daniel and husband, Glen, Ashley Kay and husband, Trevor; grandson, Jacob Daniel; brothers, Roger and wife, Xiaohua, Frank, John and wife, Karen; sisters, Janet Hobgood and husband, Danny, Carol Zeisler and husband, Steve; sister-in-law, Shelly Richards; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1:45 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at First United Methodist Church of Richardson. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Adrenal Cancer Research or to the First United Methodist Church of Richardson.
