Mr. Robert "Bob" C. Leffke's Obituary
Mr. Robert “Bob” C. Leffke passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 18, 2017 at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Carrollton, TX. Bob was born in August of 1927 in Buffalo, NY. He was the son of Ada Schmelzer Leffke and Gustav Leffke. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II maintaining the P-47’s and the B-29 Bombers.After WWII, Bob was employed by Cornell Labs and Bell Aeronautics as a design engineer. He also worked for various manufacturing companies and holds three (3) patents for his design work. During retirement, he continued to design and build various tool machines in his home shop. Bob was very creative and ingenious in approach to design. Bob was proceeded in death by his first wife, Dorothy; two brothers Harold and William; and his second wife, Irma (Bilich). He is survived by his children Richard and his wife Deborah (Colvin) Leffke; Diane and her husband John Tomassi; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was loved by all who met and knew him and will be missed. Bye Pop Pop, have a good time! Arrangements are under the care of Restland Funeral Home located at 13005 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75243 and no services have been scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
