Robert "Bob" Dennis Michal's Obituary
Robert (Bob) Dennis Michal, 74, of Garland, passed away on June 26, 2018 in Dallas, Texas after fighting a lengthy battle with ALL.Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Sunday, July 1st at Restland Funeral Home.Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, July 2nd at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with Rev. Dretha Burris of First United Methodist Church of Rowlett officiating.Bob was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Ted and Harriet Guzik Michal on December 7, 1943. He graduated from Loyola University with a Masters Degree in Physics, and he worked as an Electrical Engineer at Texas Instruments for 25 years. He married Sheila Lewis on November 22, 1975.Bob is preceded in death by his father, Ted Michal, his mother, Harriet Michal, his son Benjamin Michal, brother Joseph Michal and father-in-law James Lewis.Bob is survived by his wife, Sheila, daughters Alison Pierce and Ashley Michal, brother Richard Michal and grandchildren Brandon, Aidan, Addison and Liam Pierce, Eli Sheffield and Oliver Michal.The family wishes to thank Father Russ Mower of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Dallas for administering last rites.
