Robert Gordon Dunkin's Obituary
Passed away March 31, 2012 from illness. Visitation Wed., April 4 from 6-8PM at Restland Funeral Home and Services start at 10AM, Thurs. April 5 at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel. Born May 29, 1926 in Erie, PA to Robert and Mary (both deceased). He is survived by his wife, Tuyet; his sons Gordon, Roger, Robert and his wife Claire, and Alan; and his younger sister, Joyce. Attended Texas A&M but a medical condition prevented service in WW2. Had a love of aircraft and aeronautics, radio and TV broadcasting, electronics and software, history and travel. His career spanned operating radio and TV stations in Philadelphia, overseeing broadcast facilities in Vietnam for the Armed Forces Radio Network, and marketing ULF transmitters to the Navy at Continental Electronics in Dallas. A loving and dedicated father, his family will miss him greatly.
