Robert Edward Billman's Obituary
Robert Edward Billman, 82, of Rockwall, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 24, 2016 in Rockwall, Texas. Robert (Bob) was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Bob was known by all for his witty humor and zest for life. He enjoyed traveling with his family in his later years. He was an Eagle Scout, and had a love for American History, the US Presidents, and collegiate sports, especially his Ohio State Buckeyes. Born on May 20, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to Florence Turney and Lowell Billman, he was a 1955 graduate of Otterbein College and also attended Alexander Hamilton Institute of Technology. His management career of 58 years included working at US Steel Corporation, Texas Instruments, Inc., and Data Documents, Inc., and he was the founder and owner of Greater Dallas/Ft Worth Porcelain from 1977 to 2013. He leaves behind to cherish his memory six children, Diana Morrison and husband Roy, Jeff Billman and wife Melissa, Greg Billman and wife Sharlane, Lori Randolph and husband Terry, Traci Drewery and husband Keith, and Janelle Womack and husband David ;17 grandchildren, Matt, Mandi, Micah, Molli, Brandon, Aubri, Ryan, Erin, Tyler, Chase, Cole, Whitney, Summer, Kyle, Heath, Ashli, and Brendan; 5 great grandchildren, Liam, Locke, Hunter, Emma, and Ethan; brothers Ed Billman and wife Barbara, and Neal Billman, and also the mother of his children, Shirley Billman Reed, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends. He also leaves behind a family dear to his heart, the Prenglers, Irving and Lauri, and their children Jeffrey, Rebecca, Mindy, and Rachel. A celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at First Baptist Church Heath with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Restland Dallas. Memorials in his honor may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of your choice. Flowers may be delivered to First Baptist Church of Heath, 224 Smirl Drive, Heath, Texas the morning of the service.
