We loved and appreciated your Mom and Dad. Rev. Zirkel presided at the wedding of your parents so long ago at the Coker Methodist Church. Connie even worked as secretary for Rev. Zirkel for a time at the church. We continued to keep up with them through Christmas greeting cards and know how thrilled they were about their grandchildren. Your family has a long tradition of outstanding, faithful, and dedicated Christians. We knew your grandparents, the Gerfers, and of course your uncle Butch, and even knew your great-grandparents the De-Kunders. Quite a family and we send our condolences to your families. Uncle Bob was very special to me. I well remember when I spent my summers in Austin with my grandparents. He and Aunt Connie would pick me up from their home every weekend. I got to spend the entire weekend with them. It was so wonderful, and they made me feel so special. I miss them both so very much.

Bob was my brother-in-law and and I really miss him, already. I feel like I was a part of Bob and Connie's life from the time they met until the end. I was with them when Connie met most of Bob's family. Bob was the photographer at my wedding and Connie was my Matron of Honor with my other sister Peggy Blucher as the church organist. Fortunately, they left two sons Rob, Steve and their wives and Bob and Connie's grandchildren.
