Robert "Bob" Eugene Gable Jr.'s Obituary
Robert “Bob” Eugene Gable, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 31, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born May 23, 1951 to Robert E. and Lorna S Gable in York, PA his father preceded him in death. At the time of his death, he was residing in Plano, TX, where he was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Plano, TX. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Hively Gable, his devoted daughters, Whitney Gable Gross and her husband, Travis, Frisco, TX, Meghan Gable, Plano, TX, and Hadley Gable, Brandon, MS; and granddaughters, Macy and Brinley Gross, Frisco, TX. He also leaves behind his mother, Lorna S. Gable, Dallastown, PA, his sister, Kim Gable Dittenhafer and her husband, Dan, niece, Kelly Dittenhafer Gearty and family. Bob’s first priority and greatest joy always included those activities that revolved around his 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters. He coached his daughters in various youth basketball leagues and was an enthusiastic fan of their basketball, soccer, cross country, track, and volleyball activities. Bob was a respected member of the transportation industry, working many years for Food Transport, Inc, Saks, Inc, JCPenney Co, and Home Depot in various management positions. Burial will be in Dallastown, PA with services at Bethlehem UMC in Dallastown, PA on Friday, February 6, 2015 at __________. A memorial service will also be held in Plano, TX at a later date.
