Robert Clinton Frost J.D.'s Obituary
FROST, ROBERT C., J.D., November 13, 1921 – September 12, 2007. Robert was born in Riverside, Iowa to Arleigh and Alan Frost, graduated from Riverside High school in 1939, and graduated from the University of Iowa in 1943. After attending the Northwestern University Mid-Shipman Training under the V-7 program, he served on anti-submarine warfare vessels in the Atlantic and Pacific theaters through the end of WWII in the role of executive officer on PC 1172; ultimately commanding SC667 and PC 1547. He then attended University of Iowa Law School, graduating second in his class of 1952. He reveled in his 40 year career at Collins Radio as the director of the International Division and corporate secretary and then international council of Rockwell Collins; positions which afforded him the opportunity to make friends with business associates around the world. Preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Root, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary and sons: Alan Frost and Dr. Scot Frost; daughters-in-law, Emilie Weil and Abigail Frost, and beloved granddaughter Caroline. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Highland Springs Retirement Community on September 23, 2007 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.
