Robert Warren Haislip Jr's Obituary
Robert Warren Haislip Jr., 83, of Corinth, Texas, passed away on September 9, 2025.
Bob was born on August 18, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, to Robert Warren Haislip and Louise Wolfe Haislip. As a student at Highland Park High School, he was active in several academic organizations, and the varsity swim team. He went on to attend the University of Michigan and later earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Chicago College of Optometry.
Bob practiced optometry for most of his life and remained dedicated to his work until his passing. Outside of his profession, he had a lifelong love of horses and polo — even maintaining a polo field on his property.
He was married to Bonnie Jean Haislip, and together they raised four children. Bob will be remembered as a principled man with a deep appreciation for nature, a strong sense of ambition, and a competitive spirit.
He is survived by his children — Robert Warren Haislip III and his son Robert Warren Haislip IV, Nicole Jean Miller and her children Alyssa Nicole Miller and Grayson Lennon Miller, Ross Daniel Haislip and his daughters Adalee Jane Haislip and Lorelai Rae Haislip, and James Finley Haislip and his son Finley Wylder Haislip.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on October 2nd at Wildwood Chapel, Restland Cemetery.
