My memories of my good friend, Gene Hale, go back many years to the beginning days of the Aloe Science Council. His input into this cause was invaluable in making it the powerful organization that it is today. His dedication to this project was unprecedented and never ending. Gene was a great friend and colleague. I am looking at a photo of us together in Seoul, S. Korea, in 2003. I remember how warm his smile was and how eloquently he spoke. Gene was a generous, warm, wonderful human being that I was fortunate to know. I will always remember him, full of heart, determination and time to make the sun shine a little brighter.
