Mr. Robert Williams Humphrey's Obituary
HUMPHREY, ROBERT (BOB) WILLIAMS, 90, longtime Dallas resident and retired CLU from MONY, passed away at Doctors Health Care Center on December 22, 2007. He was born May 3, 1917 in Montreal, Quebec Canada to Robert Floyd Humphrey and Blanche Lyndsey. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Loree Fay Cole; Juanita E. Humphrey, his first wife and his children’s mother, and Mary-Margaret Humphrey, his second wife of 49 years. Bob moved to Dallas in 1948. He was an active member in the community, Presbyterian ruling elder for 51 years, longtime member of the Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, and former president of the Dallas Civitan Club. Bob was an ardent ‘scouter’ and was actively involved with Circle Ten Council for over 30 years. Bob is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Ione Warren Humphrey, a daughter Dorothy (Dottie) Whitehead and her husband John, Midland, TX, a son Nelson Robert Humphrey, and his wife Hilda, Dallas, TX; stepdaughters, Ramey Warren and Leslie Warren of Los Angeles, CA, Lynne Jones and her husband Glynne, Katy, TX; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Bob will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. A memorial service is scheduled at Lake Highlands Presbyterian Church, 8525 Audelia Rd. at 1pm on Thurs. December 27.
