Robert Lawrence Leake's Obituary
LEAKE, ROBERT “BOB” of Plano passed way on December 18, 2009 and was born in Camden, Arkansas to Louise Guthrie and Robert T. Leake who preceded him in death along with his sister and brother-in-law Roberta and Charles Magness. Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann Potts Leake; two daughters and his nephew Dr. C.R. Magness (Kay)) and niece Carla Magness, all of Fayetteville, Arkansas, as well as his sister-in-law Betty Gray of Texarkana and his brother-in-law Jack Potts (Diana) of Dallas. After completing his education in Arkansas, he moved to Dallas where he worked for Texas Instruments for four years, and later he entered sales in the office and school supply business and retired from Avery Dennison Corporation. Bob had a warm, loving, kind, upbeat personality, even while ill, that endeared him to people of all ages and his sharp sense of humor was legendary with his friends and family. For many years he was an avid golfer with his band of buddies and then he continued to enjoy sports as a spectator. Through the years he and his wife Ann traveled extensively and had great memories of the places they visited and the people they met. Bob was a communicant of the Church of Incarnation, Episcopal in Dallas. In lieu of flowers it is requested that contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 5429 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, Texas 75240 or a charity iof your choice. Visition will be on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 5-7PM at Restland Funeral Home. Gravedside services will be on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Texarkana, Texas.
