Mr. Robert Reed Leicht Sr.'s Obituary
Robert (Bob) Reed Leicht, Sr., 92, of Dallas, Texas, passed away August 22, 2014. Born in Beaumont, Texas on July 29th 1922 he married Faith M. Stevens of Great Falls on April 15th1944. Bob Leicht was a pilot with the 7th Ferrying Command at Gore Field, Army Air Base and flew with the Air Transport Command in Edmonton, Alberta. Bob served in World War II for five years as a pilot in the United States Air Force. After his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he and Faith moved to Texas where he retired from flying for American Airlines after 43 years of service. Bob Leicht was a devout Catholic and he exemplified his faith. He had a strong character that included integrity and truth. He had not only a large family, but had many friends who loved him dearly. The visitation for Mr. Robert Reed Leicht Sr. will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM in the Abbey Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church, 1404 Old Gate Lane, Dallas, TX 75218. A ceremony with honors will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75238. In lieu of flower arrangements, the family request that you please make charitable contributions to the following tax exempt, 501 (c) organizations: Christian Community of God’s Delight, P.O.
