Robert L. McIntire, 84, our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away Sat, February 28, 2009. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery. Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at the Wildwood Chapel of Restland Funeral Home & Cemetery. Robert married Betty Ella Burris in 1945 after WWII in Kansas City, Kansas. Together they moved to Washington D.C. where Robert continued with the Marine Corps and Betty worked for TransWorld Airlines. Bob started his civilian career in the early computer industry, later founding 2 computer system companies, and retiring from his company, Data Index Inc. in 1992. Robert, son of Ralph Lillis and Ruth Cleveland Cummins McIntire of Kansas City, Kansas, is survived by his beloved wife, Betty, daughter Sharon Stevenson and husband Don, son Ron McIntire and wife Lazane, and daughter Jill Kane and husband Michael, granddaughter Sharyl Terhall and her husband Todd, Step-granddaughter Stephanie Stevenson-Grund and her husband Larry, Grandson Travis Kane, great-granddaughter Amanda Stevenson-Grund, great-grandson Tyler Terhall, and sister Evelyn Kincaid and her husband Bill, and many nieces and nephews.
