Dr. Robert Noble's Obituary
Dr. Robert William Noble, MD of Dallas, Texas, passed on to his eternal life at the age of 94 on March 3, 2021.
He was born in Varysburg, New York, on June 1, 1926, to Robert Andrew Noble and Hattie Louise Redtmann.
He graduated from high school in 1941 when he was fifteen years of age. He practiced as a Chiropractor served as a pharmacist on a T2 Tanker in the Merchant Marines.
He and his first wife, Dorothy Louise Shows, were married on March 28, 1948, by his father, Pastor Robert Andrew Noble.
The two of them worked hard to support their growing family. He entered medical school in 1956 at the age of 30 and completed his premed at Southwestern Medical University School. He did his residency at Parkland Hospital and St. Paul Hospital. When he graduated from medical school on August 20th, 1960, they had three daughters, Patricia Faye, Robin Marleen, and Cathy Louise. Robert and Dorothy divorced in 1969.
He met and married Patsy Joan Leffler in 1970. He was not only blessed to marry his soul mate but had the opportunity to co-parent in raising two sons, Thomas and Dallas Hanley.
He is preceded by his wife, Patsy Noble; daughter, Patricia Noble; son, Thomas Hanley, and grandson, Dallas Hanley, Jr.
He is survived by two daughters, Robin Albritton and her husband, David of Texas, Cathy Whitaker of Utah; his son Dallas Hanley and his wife Shara of Texas and Marianne Hanley of Texas. Combined, the posterity includes thirteen grandchildren and thirty-three great-grandchildren.
Dr. Noble was a member of the Texas Medical Association and American Board of Family Practice. He wrote numerous articles, spoke on radio and talk shows encouraging the public to have a nutritious diet, while he continued to study what it was we could do to live a long and healthy life. He organized his research and put his recommendations in a book entitled, The Science/Scripture Connection and Healthways.
We will miss him, yet we know he is being cared for by our loving Heavenly Father, those who have preceded him, and heavenly hosts.
