Bob and I first met at Bryan Adams high school. We played football together and were good friends. We went a lot of places together and did a lot of things in high schools. Some of my favorite memories were of us going for burgers at Charco's and Kips, sometimes after dates, sometimes after games. Bob bought a 1939 Ford when we were in high school and we spent a lot of time under that car trying to keep it running, but I really remember that red and white Rambler that was his mom's and going all over in that car as well. During college Bob would come in for summers and holidays and we would pick right up like we were still in high school. Bob was always the level headed one and kept me out of more scrapes that I like to think about, but that was what friends were for. Bob was my best man when I got married in 1973. After college Bob moved to New Orleans and it was harder to keep in touch, but after he and Carol were married , they eventually moved back to Dallas. Then came kids, jobs and life in general. In 1985 I moved to Houston and lived there for the next 22 years while Bob stayed in the Dallas area. After that we stayed in contact mostly by phone. I always consider Bob to be one of my best friends, if not my best friend and I will miss him. My thoughts are with Carol and Robyn at this time. Goodbye Bob, I'll see you when I get there.
