Robert Smithwick's Obituary
Robert (Bob) Neal Smithwick, devoted husband, father and friend passed away January 3, 2016 at his home. Bob was born in Wylie, Texas on the January 27, 1925. Bob served his country in WWII as an Army aviator. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Augusta Stultz Smithwick and his daughter Jan Disney. He is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Beth Smithwick; nephews Dick Smithwick and wife Daisie, Denny Smithwick and wife Jan, Gene Smithwick and wife Carolyn; nieces Mary Keith Story and Edwina Brewer; grandchildren Brian Disney and wife Cathleen, Rene Nichols and husband Jason, Sean Disney, Erin Ivy and husband Tim; five great grandchildren and loving and devoted friends Halbert and Lilly Cranor. Family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers please make any donations to the First Baptist Church, Richardson, Texas or a charity of your choice. Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:30 PM in Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
