Just to let the family that as I was growing up I didn't know who Bob or uncle Bob really was, only after his mother and my Grandmother passed away did I got to know him a little more. The last time that my Mother and I got to see him was about 4yrs ago and he looked so much like his mother, and I could tell that he was a smart and loving man. My Mother, Ramona looked foward to each time that got to talk to him on the phone. I am sorry that we will not be there for the service, but that our hearts and prayers are with the Family. He will be missed.
I was remembering the night Bob got home from the Phillipines at the end of WWII.I was visiting with my grandmother, Ma Headley, helping her get things cleaned up for when Bob came home. We didn't know for sure exactly when he would so we went to bed adn went to sleep. The minute his foot stepped on the porch we were awake, and didn't get anymore sleep that night.
