Robert John Spence's Obituary
CMSgt Robert J. Spence, Ret., born July 10, 1927 in Sioux City, IA, passed away July 27, 2011 in Richardson, TX. Bob served proudly in the United States Air Force for 20 years, being stationed all over the world during that time and retired at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. Following his Air Force career, he retired from both Texas Instruments and H&R Block. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Clan MacDuff Scottish Society, served as Republican precinct chairman and election judge for 40 years, and was a member of the First Christian Church of Richardson for over 44 years. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha; son, Bob Spence, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bill Nicodemus; granddaughter, SrA Patience Spence; sister, Marian Frans of Sioux City, IA, and extended family. Visitation will be Sunday, July 31st from 4-6 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 1st at United Disciples Christian Church, 601 East Main, Richardson, TX 75081 followed by a private interment.
