Robert Earl Statton's Obituary
Statton, Robert was born on September 29, 1928 in Wichita Falls, TX and passed away on May 24, 2013 in Plano, TX. Robert was a graduate of Midland High School Midland, TX and earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech. He had a long career with Sunray DX/Sun Oil Co. for 38 years. Robert married Billie Fern Whiteside on June 13, 1953. He enjoyed fly fishing, skiing, tennis, golf, backpacking, classical music and oil painting. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Earl and Billie Tucker Statton. Robert is survived by his wife, Billie Statton; sons, Bobby (Ann), Scott (Pam), and Chris (Sabrina); brother, Bill (Donna); sister, Jackie Carley; eleven grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Prestonwood Baptist Church Plano, TX. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM at Fireside Room, Prestonwood Baptist Church, Plano, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, Prestonwood Baptist Church or Powerpoint Mission.
