Robert Taylor's Obituary
TAYLOR, ROBERT (BOB) KRUSE Dallas – Bob left his earthly home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Bob was a 1949 graduate of Fresno State University with a degree in Geology. He continued his studies obtaining his Masters degree from UC Berkeley. He was a prominent geologist, having served as Chief Geologist for Amoco Oil as well as President of various other exploration firms. In 1973, he moved his family to Dallas to pursue opportunities within the oil and gas industry. Bob had a passion for life, never having met a stranger; he let his love for Christ show forth. He had a love for classic car restoration and was a member of the Model-A and Pontiac Clubs. He was an avid traveler and especially enjoyed spending time in the California wine country. Around the neighborhood, Bob was affectionately known as the “handyman.” Throughout his life, he never faced a challenge he could not solve, and he passed on this trait to his children. Bob is survived by his wife, Suzy; his three children, Julie Taylor, Teresa Stein and David Taylor; his sister, Nancy Levinson; and his four grandchildren, Tyler, Taryn (TC), Lindsay and Tara; as well as a host of extended family and many friends. A Memorial Service and Celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007, at Metro Bible Fellowship, located at 1225 E. Rosemeade Parkway in Carrollton, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to People to People Ministries.
