Robert Michael Tinnin's Obituary
Robert Michael (Mike) Tinnin, born July 25, 1950 in Shreveport, Louisiana, passed away at home in Dallas, Texas, August 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Louis and Elizabeth Ross Tinnin, and nephew, Anthony Scott Tinnin. He is survived by his son Michael Brent Tinnin, his brother John Ross Tinnin, his wife Catalina, his brother Thomas Millard Tinnin, his sister Lindy Claire Tinnin, and his brother-in-law David Turner; his nephews: Stephen Tinnin and wife Allison, Robert Carlisle Tinnin and wife Katie, Jacob Tinnin and wife Kiana, the late Anthony Tinnin and wife Jennifer Hannan with step-daughter Briana Hannan, and Andrew Tinnin and wife Cassie; his nieces: Alma Tinnin, Amanda Nicole Tinnin and husband Richard Baltus; grand nephews and nieces: Nora, Tinnin, Preston, Carter, Theodore, and Meera. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday evening (August 25, 2016) from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Services will be held on August 26, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Restland Memorial Chapel. Please join us after the service for food and sharing. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ‘Wichita State University Athletic Department’. Mike loved his family. He was a devoted to his son Brent, his siblings, and all his extended family. He never met a stranger, and everyone knew that they could count on Mike Tinnin. He had a complete passion for sports, especially the Wichita State Shockers and the Dallas Cowboys.
