Robert Joseph Watson's Obituary
Robert Joseph Watson, age 80 of Dallas, Texas passed away on Monday, August 22, 2011. Bob was born on April 5, 1931 to Joseph and Sophie Watson. He received his PH D in Geophysics from Penn State University in 1958. He began work at Mobil Oil Company in 1959 at the research lab. Bob returned to PSU as Professor of Geophysics for 2 years beginning in 1963. Returning to Mobil Oil, he advanced to manager of MEPSI (Mobil Exploration & Producing Services Inc.) and retired in 1987. He enjoyed his retirement years in the Florida Keys. He is survived by his wife Nannette, daughters Diana and her husband Robert Peine, and Karen Watson. Visitation Sunday, August 28 at 5 pm, followed by a rosary at 6 pm at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services Monday, August 29 at 10 am, Memorial Chapel, Restland Funeral Home. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
