Wilkinson, Robert LeRoy (Army Retired Staff Srgt.) born on May 14, 1937 in Chester, IL and passed away on April 28, 2016 in Garland, TX. Preceded in death by father, Tom Wilkinson; son, Timothy Scott Wilkinson; mother, Zeta Wilkinson; sister, JoAnn Wilkinson; step mother, Elsie Wilkinson; brother, Ronnie Wilkinson. Survived by wife, Opal Wilkinson; son, Allen Wilkinson; daughter, Beverly Gibson; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Gary Wilkinson; sister-in-laws, Alma Atteberry, Esther Gamblin; Renee Gamblin and numerous Nieces and Nephews. Robert (Bob) served 27 years in the Army. 3 Tours – Vietnam; 1 Tour – Korea; 3 Tours – Germany; various locations in the USA including Hawaii. He received many certificates, medals and honors. Served USA Army 27 years; soldier of America 27 years. Served The Lord 15 years; soldier of The Lord 15 years. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richardson E.
