Robert Jeremiah Wing's Obituary
Robert was born December 9th,1933 in Chicago, Illinois and passed away June 12th, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancie, daughter Vickie, Terry and her husband Robert, son John and his wife Beth, son Michael and his wife Allison and two beautiful grandchildren, Kevin and Gabi. He is also survived by his brothers James and Richard and preceded in death by his sister Patricia and his parents James G. and Ruth D. Wing. Bob graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1955 and served in the US Army. He began his career at IBM in 1958 where he remained for over 30 years. Bob and his family moved to Dallas in 1973, but Bob stayed true to his Chicago roots by being a dedicated, yet realistic Cubs fan. His honesty and integrity and his never-ending desire to better his family are just a few of his countless admirable qualities. Bob was deeply loved by his family and his Earthly presence will be missed. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday June 17th at 4:00pm at All Saints Catholic Church, 5231 Meadowcreek Dallas, Tx 75248. Preceded by The Rosary at 3:30pm. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the American Cancer Society . In Bob’s immortal words, “Keep the faith.”
