Robert Lee Womack IV
Born: 22 August 1949 in Dallas, TX, and passed away 21 December 2020 in Marietta, GA. Preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee III and Margaret Alkire Womack of Dallas, TX.
Survived by his beloved wife of 49.5 years Deanna Fullerton Womack, daughter Karen Mei-ying Womack Ho and husband Patrick Ho, daughter Juliet Mei-ling Womack and partner Grier Wright, all of Acworth, GA. Also survived by sister, Nancy Womack Holland of Terrell, TX, niece Melissa Holland Jones, husband Travis, and children Jackson and Sawyer of Austin, TX, and niece Michelle Holland Recker, husband Tom, and children Lee and Jacqueline of McKinney, TX.

Robert graduated from Robert E. Lee High school, Houston, TX, 1967. He received a BA in Political Science and History from Rice University in 1971 and an MA in Government from Harvard University in 1973. From 1975-1977, he taught at Tunghai University, Taichung, Taiwan, and National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, while conducting dissertation research on the Organization Bureau of the Nationalist Party in Jiangsu Province, China.
Robert was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the US ARMY in 1971 and retired from the US ARMY RESERVES in 1993. He had a long career in information technology focused primarily on the government sector with organizations such as the Third Judicial District Court, Topeka, KS; Hale and Dorr, Boston, MA; and Computer Associates.
Robert was known for his intelligence, his unique sense of humor, his patriotism, and his love for family and friends. He loved his cat Delilah, Baroque music, science fiction books, fast Audi cars, and really good wine. He was a loving and supportive husband and father, a son to be proud of, and a devoted big brother.
