Roberta Mae Eastham was born on June 19, 1924 in Stilwell, Oklahoma and passed away on September 12, 2014 in Carrollton, Texas. Roberta Hamilton Eastham passed away on September 12, 2014 at the age of 90 in Dallas, TX. Born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on June 12, 1924 to Addie Smith Hamilton and Ephraim Andrew Hamilton, Roberta was one of 12 siblings. On April 4, 1947, she married Lewis Edwin Eastham and the pair moved to Dallas in 1952. Roberta’s hobbies included gardening, pottery, and international travel. Her greatest source of joy was her family and the love that they shared. She was incredibly devoted to her church of 60 years, Park Cities Baptist, and specifically her Sunday school class. She cherished the lifelong friendships that she developed at Park Cities. Roberta’s gentle spirit and unwavering faith stood as a model of Christianity for her children and grandchildren. Roberta was a selfless and devoted wife who tirelessly cared for her ill husband during his last 20 years of life. She was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed. Roberta’s laughter, positivity, resilience and unwavering patience were unmatched here on Earth, and her family and friends take great comfort in knowing she will shine down from Heaven on all of us. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lewis Edwin Eastham. She is survived by her sister, Sue Holden of Ft. Worth; daughters, Teresa McKenna of Dallas and Shay Perry of Menifee, CA; grandchildren, Kyle Mathis of Los Angeles, Nick Mathis of Las Vegas, Morgan Burnham of Austin and Taylor McKenna of Austin; as well as her many great grandchildren. A graveside service for Roberta will be held at noon on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park. The memorial service for Roberta will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Park Cities Baptist Church-Ellis Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the National Parkinson’s Foundation or to VITAS Hospice Care. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
