Roberta Evalee McKenzie's Obituary
McKenzie, Roberta T. passed away July 27, 2009 surrounded by her family. Born June 6, 1923, Roberta was a very special lady to all who knew her. Roberta is survived by Barney A. McKenzie, her husband of more than 67 years, daughter Carol Grubb and husband Don, Grandson Greg Grubb and wife Tonya, Grandson Grant Grubb and wife Allison, and three great grandchildren, Jacob, Lauren, and Gavin. The family will receive visitors on Wed, July 29, 2009, 6-8pm at Restland Funeral Home, 9220 Restland Road, Dallas, TX. The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas. The service will be officiated by Denny Burris and William L. Walters. Roberta was a long-time member of Lakeside Baptist Church in Dallas and retired from Sears after more than 50 years. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lakeside Baptist Church in memory of Roberta McKenzie. The family expresses a special thank you to Baybrooke Village in McKinney and Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
