Roberta Ann Rotolo's Obituary
Roberta “Bobbi” Rotolo, a caring wife, mother, grandmother and teacher went Home on November 17th, 2023.
Born on November 27th, 1953 in Sewickley, PA to Ann and Anthony Yaworsky, words can’t describe what it was like to know and be known by Bobbi, only feelings can do that justice. Bobbi graduated from Ambridge High School and chose to pursue her degree in Education at Indiana University. Bobbi went on to improve the lives of countless students for over 40+ years of teaching as she cared for each aspect of their growth and personhood.
Bobbi’s zest for life was truly highlighted in the love and care she showed her friends and family. “Grandma’s,” pierogis, stuffed cabbage (halupki), beef stew, Christmas cookies and dishes too numerous to count nourished the souls of her husband, children and grandchildren each day. Bobbi gave the warmest hugs and was there to weather life’s toughest storms beside her friends and family with grace the world seldom experiences.
However, it would be a missed opportunity if Bobbi’s feisty side went unmentioned. Her “mom look,” was well known to her sons, grandchildren and students. She wasn’t afraid to let a referee know their occupational choices were questionable, she loved a good Stephen King novel, and weeds stood no chance when Bobbi’s work clothes were donned.
Bobbi’s legacy will be carried on by her husband Alvin Rotolo, her son Jake, her son Luke and daughter-in-law Aleana, daughter- and son-in-law Ryan and Andreana, and grandchildren Gavriil, Mikolai, Isabella and Chase. Her life, in this writer’s opinion, was too short, he believes that a world without Bobbi feels less loving, incomplete even. Here is what she would want you all to know: “But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.” -J.R.R. Tolkien….and Bobbi.
Love deeply and choose what to do with your time wisely, to that end Bobbi’s gifts will continue to grace our world.
