Roberto Martinez's Obituary
Roberto Martinez, 59, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Garland, TX. He was born in Laredo Texas on January 21, 1962, to Andrea and Felipe Martinez. Roberto “Beto” served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a full time missionary when he was 19 years old. Throughout his life he continued to serve in different callings.
When he was called back to Heavenly Father’s presence he was serving as the secretary of the Elders Quorum Presidency in the Rowlett 2nd Ward. In his youth, Roberto enjoyed playing sports, he was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed family time and grilling. He dedicated over 20 years of his life in service as a Federal Employee. Roberto is survived by his wife, Marisa Y. Martinez: mother, Andrea Martinez; 9 brothers, 1 sister, and many other family members. Roberto’s service was held for family members on Friday, August 27, 2021, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Rowlett, TX.
